My casual response was, "Two boys and a girl." He stopped, his jaw dropped and everyone got quiet for a moment. I smiled and said, "Yes, triplets." He asked, "Are you serious?!" I smiled and nodded again. "Yep!" He starts laughing and smiling, congratulating me and stuff, introduced himself and his coworkers... then proceeded to give me some of the chocolate chip cookies by the register. On the house. = )
Turned out to be a good sandwich, too.
I've often wished I had a camera to record the various looks on people's faces when they find out we're having triplets, many of them have been quite priceless!
ReplyDeleteWell the world has come to an end ... you are actually blogging ;-) ... Congratulations :-)
ReplyDeleteI can only imagine how shocked people are to hear you all are expecting triplets! It's hard for us (and we only have twins!) to go anywhere right now without taking three times longer than usual because everyone wants to see the babies, ask questions, and tell us about their cousin or distant relative that has twins... Just wait till you are pushing that giant triplet-mobile:)!!!
